Pittsburgh faces its share of serious challenges in the months and years ahead. Solutions to those challenges will require the exercise of sound judgement, dynamic vision, and mature leadership — as well as a mastery of Pittsburgh government’s responsibilities and limitations. My campaign claims no monopoly on good ideas. We welcome your suggestions and comments.

With your help, we hope to tap into the excitement generated by last year’s presidential election to encourage involvement in addressing our city’s problems. With your help, neglected infrastructure repairs, responsible labor agreements, improved public safety, genuine public accountability and necessary ethics reforms, and a host of other issues will be given the attention they have long deserved. With your help, I’m prepared to lead Pittsburgh through this difficult period to a new era of renewal that has been the signature of this region. With your help, we can expand our excitement throughout the city and throughout Western Pennsylvania.

This is your city. So I am asking for your help.
